EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES

Last Thursday, 26th of September, we celebrated The European Day of Languages. Our students had been working on different projects and on that day all their hard work was on display for everybody to see: posters with flags from several European countries, with words in different languages, idioms and “false friends”. They learnt some very interesting peculiarities and expressions in English and a few words belonging to the rich variety of languages that are spoken in Europe.

Some other posters explained the reasons why it is important to learn other languages: to understand each other, to travel, for business, to learn someone else’s culture…….. or simply FOR FUN!

Hopefully this activity will stimulate our students to learn as many languages as possible and to keep working hard in English.
